Get ready to play the hand you’ve been dealt! On the last Sunday of every month, we’re hosting our very own poker tournament in our speakeasy, stylish surroundings.
Whether you’ve fancy yourself as a poker man or you’ve never played before, then here’s the experts top tips;
Don’t Bluff For Bluffing’s Sake
You might think that bluffing your way through poker is the way to do it, but the experts say otherwise. Of course, you don’t have a limit on your bluffs, but they’re only effective in certain situations and only against certain opponents!
Take It Like A Man
Poker teaches you life lessons… if something doesn’t go your way, shrug it off and move on. There’s always another hand to be dealt.
Be Gracious
Whether you win or lose, buy a round for your opponents. It will be appreciated and remembered… always play fair (there’s another life lesson for you there).
Don’t Be A Wannabe
There’s nothing worse than someone pretending to know a lot about something they know nothing about.
Observation Is Key
Look after number one… pay attention to your own hand – that’s the most important one on the table! Once you’ve mastered that, pick up on how others around the table are playing and make note of those flushes, bluffs and folds.
